College Scholarship

The Issue

Minority students from low-income families do not have equal access to a college education.

Our Impact

Since 1991, GECAC has helped open doors for students from low-income families by providing scholarships for those who need it most.

Overview

The mission of the R. Benjamin Wiley/Walter L. Osborne Minority Scholarship is to encourage and enable ethnic minority students to:

  1. Go to college
  2. Realize the impact they can have on themselves and the community through education.

The amount of the scholarship to be awarded is $1,000, which will be paid directly to the awardee. All completed applications must be postmarked by April 15, 2019.  All applicants will be notified of their selection or denial by June 15, 2019. Money for the scholarships is raised through the GECAC Golf Classic. Great golf for a great cause!
