Thanksgiving Meals
Through our Give a Meal. Give Thanks. campaign, we are inviting our community to help make the holiday brighter for local families experiencing financial hardship.
Our clients include older adults, families with children, individuals with disabilities, and households experiencing financial hardship. Many of the people we serve are making difficult choices between food and other essential expenses. A Thanksgiving meal provides more than food. It offers a family the opportunity to gather around the table, celebrate the holiday, and experience the support of their community.

Warming Erie County
GECAC will distribute free socks, gloves, hats, coats, and scarves through our Warming Erie County events. Warming Erie County is a partnership between GECAC, churches, schools, and businesses. Generous donors provide new winter clothing to help their neighbors in need before the winter weather arrives.

Giving Tree
GECAC gives Christmas presents to constituents through our Giving Tree program. GECAC presented gifts to seniors, men, women, and children. Generous churches, businesses, and GECAC employees adopt the families and purchase new gifts from their wish lists. Gifts range from pajamas, microwaves, and bedsheets to toys.

Emergency Food Bags
GECAC's Emergency Food Bag Program provides immediate food assistance to individuals and families experiencing food insecurity or an unexpected financial hardship. By distributing bags of essential food items, the program helps households meet their immediate nutritional needs when their budgets fall short.
Through this program, GECAC helps individuals and families access food during difficult times, easing the burden of choosing between groceries and other necessities, such as rent, utilities, medication, and transportation.

Spruce Up Erie County is helping its neighbors who are unable to afford cleaning and hygiene products due to poverty. GECAC distributes free toilet paper, paper towels, feminine hygiene products, dish soap, laundry soap, sponges, dishcloths, and towels through their Spruce Up Erie County event. Spruce Up Erie County is a partnership between GECAC, businesses, churches, and organizations. The Spruce Up Erie County event is open to the public.
