Head Start Teacher

Full time, the successful candidate will have an understanding of good Early Childhood practices to promote the social, physical, and intellectual growth of preschool age children.  

Associate, Bachelor or Master Degree in Early Childhood Education or related field with a minimum of twenty-four (24) credits in Early Childhood Education.  Bring to interview:  Original/current Act 33, 34 & FBI Clearances, three (3) written references from people who have known you for five (5) or more years & an official, sealed college transcript.  

Requires PA Driver’s license, full-time access to private automobile, required auto insurance, a physical exam, and TB mantoux test/chest x-ray.  Must meet Immigration Law requirements.   Salary range $14.78 - $20.14, based on prior related experience and degree. To apply online, please visit Zip Recruiter.

Head Start Teacher Aide/ Assistant

Full time, the successful candidate will have an understanding of good Early Childhood practices to assist in promoting the social, physical, and intellectual growth of preschool age children. 

Associate Degree in Early Childhood Education or a minimum of fifteen (15) college credits in Early Childhood Education & one year experience working in a preschool environment for Teacher Assistant.  High School Diploma or GED for Teacher Aide.  Bring to interview:  Original/current Act 33, 34 & FBI Clearances, three (3) written references from someone you have known for five (5) or more years & an official, sealed college transcript.

Bus Driver

Full-time at GECAC Mon-Fri, 8-hrs per day (flexible). PA CDL School Bus License with minimum of class “C” with “P” & “S” endorsements. High School Diploma/GED or 3 or more years of driving experience. 

Must pass pre-employment drug testing & random drug/alcohol screening. Physical exam & TB test required with annual physical & bi-annual TB test. Ability to lift 75-lbs. Requires Act 33, 34 & 114 FBI clearances issued within the previous year with updated clearances submitted every 60-months. Must have 3 written references from someone you have known for 5 years or more. Please bring references & clearances to interview. Must meet Immigration Law requirements.

CALL IN/INTAKE COORDINATOR 
Responsible for coordinating the logistics of the meetings under the Group Violence Reduction Strategy plus manage program referrals made on behalf of the individual who is returning back to the community from incarceration. Strong organizational and communication skills are essential. The salary range for this position is $14.78 to $19.43/hr.

The ideal candidate for this position will have a working knowledge and acceptance of all aspects of the Unified Erie initiative (Prevention, Enforcement and Reentry) and possess insight on urban issues impacting the Erie area. Candidates must be willing to work with the prison population and have experience supporting, empowering and managing individuals. 

Requires Bachelor’s Degree in Social Work, Organizational Leadership, Marketing or related field and two years of experience. Must have excellent public relations, community organizing, meeting facilitation, interpersonal communication skills, and negotiation, mediation, conflict management skills.

Additionally, all candidates must be willing and able to work a flexible schedule; have a valid PA driver’s license and full-time access to reliable, private transportation; maintain appropriate auto insurance coverage as required as per agency policy; meet immigration law requirements. Due to the likelihood of working with children under the age of 18, these positions must comply with PA Child Protective Services requirements. Provide 3 letters of reference from someone you have known for 5 years or more (must state how long they have known you, signed and dated). Act 33, 34 and FBI clearances are required prior to hire and must be updated every 60 months to maintain employment.
