Adult Basic Literacy Education (ABLE) Instructor
Part-time position (19-hrs/wk.) provides direct assessment, instruction & case management services to students seeking adult basic educational services & educational career pathways to employment. Work is performed independently in accordance with established procedures & sound educational practice. Sets priorities & organizes work under the Program Manager of Adult Education Programs, who also provides regular technical assistance.

Requires knowledge, skills & abilities as normally acquired through the completion of a Bachelor’s Degree in Education or related field, combined with one (1) to three (3) years of directly related work experience in adult education, workforce development & post-secondary training or related field; or equivalent & acceptable combination of education & experience.

People-oriented with good human relations skills & knowledge of local labor market & community resources.  Good verbal/written communication skills. Ability to work with diverse groups.  Must have working knowledge of computer systems, including word processing, database & spreadsheet software.  

Act 33, 34 & FBI clearances with three (3) personal references from someone who has known you for five (5) years or more required.  Must have valid PA driver’s license, full-time access to private transportation & maintain appropriate auto insurance coverage as per Agency policy.  Must meet immigration requirements.  $15.99-$16.33/hr.

RN Consultant/Specialist
Full-time, M-F 8:30am-4:30pm at GECAC.  Consult with and counsel clients using your RN expertise rather than hands on.  Qualified applicants will provide nursing consultation, case management & assessment for consumers for all AAA programs as requested by supervisors or appropriate staff.  Performs medical review of cases & services. Duties may include: assisting consumers through person centered counseling to help make informed health care choices, working with an interdisciplinary team to identify appropriate services & supports, and visitation or phone contact with consumers to identify needs & fill service gaps through a variety of programs.  Must have good communication/outreach skills & have knowledge of community resources.  Also must have the ability to document & maintain client records & complete monthly reports in line with established procedures.

Completion of a two (2) or four (4) year Nursing School Program & valid Pennsylvania RN license.  Knowledge of common illnesses & disabilities, their obvious symptoms & the appropriate medical terminology.  Able to apply appropriate nursing techniques, to prepare consumer reports & maintain records.  Able to work independently & make sound nursing judgment in an in-home setting.  Knowledge of 3rd party payments.  Proficient in the use of the computer & have computer software skills including Microsoft Office software.  Must be able to travel.  Must have a valid PA driver’s license with full-time access to private automobile & auto insurance as required by the Agency.  Must meet Immigration Law requirements.  Must provide Act 33, 34 & FBI Clearances issued within the past year.  Salary depending on experience w/excellent benefit package.

Head Start Teacher
Full-time, must possess an Associate, Bachelor or Master’s Degree in Early Childhood Education or related field with a minimum of twenty-four (24) credits in Early Childhood Education & have an understanding of good Early Childhood practices to promote the social, physical & intellectual growth of preschool age children.  Must pass pre-employment physical examination & TB Test; annual physical exam, Bi-Annual TB test thereafter. $14.50-$19.76/hr.

Position requires:  (Bring to interview) Original/current Act 33, 34 & FBI Clearances, three (3) written references from someone you have known for five (5) or more years & official, unopened college transcript.  PA Driver’s License, full-time access to private automobile, required auto insurance, a physical exam, and TB mantoux test/chest x-ray.  Must meet Immigration Law requirements.   Hourly rates based on prior related work experience & degree attained.

Head Start Health Services Assistant

Full time, the successful candidate will assist the Health Services Coordinator in promoting child development, health, safety, nutrition, and mental health of preschool age children. Associate degree in health related field or certification in the health care field plus three (3) years related professional work experience with preschool age children & families.  $10.79-$11.77/hr.

Bus Driver

Full-time at GECAC Mon-Fri, 8-hrs per day (flexible).  PA CDL School Bus License with minimum of class “C” with “P” & “S” endorsements & a High School Diploma/GED or three (3) or more years of driving experience.  

Must pass pre-employment drug testing & random drug/alcohol screening.  Must be able to lift & carry up to fifty (50) lbs.  Pre-employment physical exam & TB test required with annual physical & bi-annual TB test.  Must have Act 33, 34 & 114 FBI clearances issued within the previous year.  Updated clearances must be submitted every 60-months.  Must have three (3) written references from someone who has known you for five (5) years or more.  Must bring references & clearances to interview.  Must meet Immigration Law requirements.  $11.64-$12.18, based on prior experience.
