Head Start Teacher

Full time, the successful candidate will have an understanding of good Early Childhood practices to promote the social, physical, and intellectual growth of preschool age children.  

Associate, Bachelor or Master Degree in Early Childhood Education or related field with a minimum of twenty-four (24) credits in Early Childhood Education.  Bring to interview:  Original/current Act 33, 34 & FBI Clearances, three (3) written references from people who have known you for five (5) or more years & an official, sealed college transcript.

Head Start Teacher Aide/ Assistant

Full time, the successful candidate will have an understanding of good Early Childhood practices to assist in promoting the social, physical, and intellectual growth of preschool age children. 

Associate Degree in Early Childhood Education or a minimum of fifteen (15) college credits in Early Childhood Education & one year experience working in a preschool environment for Teacher Assistant.  High School Diploma or GED for Teacher Aide.  Bring to interview:  Original/current Act 33, 34 & FBI Clearances, three (3) written references from someone you have known for five (5) or more years & an official, sealed college transcript.

Computer Science (STEM) Tutor
The GECAC Upward Bound Program is searching for a Part-Time Tutor to work on the campus of Edinboro University two (2) Saturday’s per month December 3, 2018 through May 4, 2019 8:30 am to 3:30 pm, as well as during the Summer Academy, Monday through Thursday from June 17, 2019 to July 25, 2019.  Should have a passion for Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics related subjects.  Must be able to effectively interact with a diverse group of high school students in a classroom setting working hands on with 3D Printers, Robotics components, Virtual Reality Systems and assisting in the teaching of the various unique software that accompanies them.

REQUIREMENTS: Junior or Senior in any STEM related field.  Have a minimum GPA of 2.8.   At time of Interview, must provide ACT 33, 34 & FBI clearances issued within the past five (5) years, and three (3) letters of reference signed and dated from individuals you have known for at least five (5) years.  Meet Immigration Reform Act requirements & proof of education. $14.55/hr.

Maintenance Repairman
The qualified candidate will have a high school degree or GED with two years related work experience; be mechanically inclined to be able to do general maintenance work; have general knowledge of electrical, heating system & building maintenance; be able to read & write & keep accurate records; be willing to cooperate with people in a polite, well-mannered way; be able to lift 100 lbs or more & carry up & down stairs as required; have the physical ability to perform all functions of the job; pass a complete post-hire physical exam/ TB test & drug test; & have a valid PA drivers license and current Act 33 & 34 and FBI fingerprint clearances. Stationary engineer/ boiler tender license and special craft or technical training preferred. Salary: $12.99.

Head Start Family Advocate
Full time, the successful candidate will recruit, enroll and provide daily case management services to families with children enrolled in the Head Start program.

Bachelor or Master Degree in Social Work, Human Services or related field.  One year related professional work experience with preschool age children and families.  Knowledge of community resources preferred to connect families with services to achieve their goals.  Bring to interview:  Original/current Act 33, 34 & FBI Clearances, three (3) written references from someone who has known you for five (5) or more years & official sealed college transcript. 

Requires PA, OH or NY Driver’s License, full-time access to private automobile, required auto insurance, a physical exam, and TB mantoux test/chest x-ray.  Must meet Immigration Law requirements.  Salary $15.04 - $15.29 per hour, based on prior related experience.
