Tutor / Residential Assistant

Part-Time | Seasonal | 2nd Shift

GECAC in Erie, PA, is seeking a Part-Time, Seasonal Tutor/Residential Assistant to work with high school scholars at Mercyhurst University for a six-week summer program.

Program Dates: June 21, 2026 – July 29, 2026
Work Schedule: Sunday–Thursday, 2:00 PM–10:00 PM
Start Date: Sunday, June 21, 2026

Position Overview

During each shift, the first 2 hours will be spent assisting students in the classroom. The remaining 6 hours will be spent in the residence halls, supporting staff in planning and implementing recreational and enrichment activities for students.

Qualifications

• Currently enrolled college student with a minimum 2.8 GPA, or a Bachelor's degree
• Experience tutoring in Math, Science, English, and/or STEM subjects
• Ability to work flexible hours as needed
• Willingness to provide:
• ACT 33, ACT 34, and FBI clearances (issued within the past 5 years)
• Three signed and dated letters of reference from individuals known for at least 5 years
• Must meet Immigration Reform Act requirements
• Proof of education required

Compensation

• $18.19 per hour
