Senior Advocate assists seniors in obtaining services and benefits along with coordination of the APPRISE program to help seniors access Medicare and prescription plans.

APPRISE is a health insurance counseling program designed to help Pennsylvanians with Medicare. Counselors are specifically trained volunteers or agency staff who can answer questions about Medicare and provide objective, easy-to-understand information about Medicare, Medicare Supplemental Insurance, Medicaid, and Long-Term Care Insurance. Apprise counselors also are located at the GECAC operated Senior Citizen Centers.

Program Requirements: 

Individuals must provide any information relevant to assisting them with resolution to their needs.

Follow-up period: Provided if additional assistance is needed.
