The
Greater Erie Community Action Committee, the largest human service
provider in Northwestern Pennsylvania, is currently in its forty-fifth
year of providing services to the disadvantaged citizens of Erie
County.
We
will hold our Fortieth Annual Meeting on Friday, September 10, 2010 at
the Bayfront Convention Center, 1 Sassafras Pier, Erie, Pennsylvania.
The social hour will be from 5:45 to 6:45 p.m. with dinner at
7:00 p.m. Tickets are
$40.00 per person.
We
are pleased to have this year as our guest speaker, the Honorable
Dwayne D. Woodruff, Judge in the Court of Common Pleas in Allegheny
County, Pennsylvania. Judge
Woodruff is a former professional American Football League player who
played cornerback for twelve seasons for the Pittsburgh Steelers.
As a rookie he won a Super Bowl ring with the Steelers in Super
Bowl XIV. Throughout the
year he participates in various charity events, especially those which
serve youth. He is a much
sought after speaker delivering speeches that are motivational and
inspirational, covering topics in sports, Christianity, law,
parenthood etc.
