Full time Cook at the
GECAC Central Kitchen, 18 West 9th Street, Erie.
M-F, 6:00 a.m. until 2:00 pm.
High School/GED or two
years related experience. Able
to prepare meals, pack
meals in accordance with portion requirements, maintain required meal
temperature, cleanliness of kitchen and equipment and observe
standards of health and sanitation in testing and handling of food.
Must pass pre-employment and annual physical, bi-annual TB
test, be able to lift 50 pounds and pass pre-employment drug testing
and random drug and alcohol testing. Current Act 34 Clearance
required.

Driver
Substitute Bus Driver - $10.15/hr.
Works as needed. PA CDL School Bus License, with minimum of
Class C P and S endorsements.
Substitute Van Driver - $8.61/hr.
Works as needed. Valid PA drivers license.
All Driver positions require High School/GED,
safe driving record, 3 or more years driving experience. Ability
to lift and carry 50 pounds, pass pre-employment drug test, physical
exam and TB test as required. Must have Act 33 and 34
clearances.

Classroom Teacher - $15.44/hr.
Head Start Full Time Position with
complete benefit package.
Bachelor’s
in Early Childhood Education. Experience
working with children and parents helpful. Able
to effectively manage the overall functions and activities of the Head
Start classroom, implementing the Head Start work plan as part of the
teaching team. Able to prepare and implement daily lesson plans,
assess each child’s development, prepare reports and forms, maintain
individual records, conduct door-to-door recruitment and encourage
participation of parents and volunteers. Experience working with young
children and parents helpful. Be
flexible, adaptable and team oriented and work well with people of
diverse backgrounds. Able
to travel in and out of county and overnight as required.
Strong communication skills both verbal and written.
Able
to physically lift up to 75 pounds and respond to the needs of the
children. Must pass
pre-employment physical exam/TB test, provide proof of education and
valid PA drivers license and access to private transportation.
Must
bring to interview original, current Act 33, 34 clearances, FBI
fingerprint based background check, 3 positive personal and 3 positive
employment references and an educational transcript.
Preference given to former or current Head Start parents.
