The Getting Ahead program where low income individuals investigate things that impact poverty within the community. They will examine their own experiences and learn how to build resources and develop social and bonding capital. Participants will develop goals and build a future story. At the end of the program, participants can be matched with a Mentor within the community who can be a support as they achieve their goals.
The class is a 10 week class, once a week beginning Tuesday February 18th from 11:00am-2:00pm and continue until Tuesday 5/5/2020.Classes will be held at the John Horan Garden Apartments Community Center, 730 Tacoma Road, Erie, PA 16511. The location is on the bus route.
