GECAC is currently looking for a part-time seasonal Math Teacher for our Upward Bound program, working approximately 22 ½ - 24 hours per week.

 Job Summary:

 Under the supervision of the Program Manager of Upward Bound, candidate will develop, implement, instruct and evaluate students on curriculum in the subject area required, including preparing assignments, administering tests, and motivating students of diverse backgrounds.

 Bachelor's Degree in Education in middle or secondary education for secondary math.  Active secondary education certification a must.  Trio Program Alumni and/or background a plus.        Must be a team player and a people oriented with good human relations skills.  Requires excellent verbal and written communication skills and be able to work independently with minimal supervision.  Must have a basic working knowledge of computer systems, including word-processing, database, and spreadsheet software and be familiar with web conferencing and zoom for teaching at a distance.  Must be willing to work a flexible schedule of 3 weeks Virtual teaching and 3 weeks of on campus teaching at Edinboro University from June 14, to July 29, 2021.

Must have current Act 33, 34 & FBI clearances issued within the past 5 years along with a valid PA driver's license & full-time access to private transportation.  Must meet immigration requirements.

 Salary: $14.22 – $19.31/hour depending on experience.
